NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH CRIMINALITY: AN EXPLORATORY STUDY

Abstract

The narcissistic personality disorder has been increasingly associated with criminality, due to the lack of empathy, manipulation, and power-seeking characteristics that this condition may present. This thesis aims to investigate this relationship, analyzing how narcissism can influence criminal behavior, patterns of violence, and the legal repercussions of these actions, investigating how individuals with this disorder are more likely to commit crimes, especially violent crimes.
