Sexual harassment, a form of gender-based violence that directly impacts the safety and well-being of individuals, especially women, is a growing concern. This study aimed to examine the effects of technological innovations in the judicial process, as well as to identify good practices, challenges, and opportunities to improve the judicial system’s response to this form of violence. Through a literature review and analysis of studies that explored the use of technologies in addressing sexual harassment against women, with data from electronic platforms as a statistical basis, 95,807 cases of sexual harassment were identified between 2018 and 2022, according to the DATASUS system. These numbers reflect an alarming increase, with 26% of the reports occurring in 2022. Regional studies highlight the prevalence of sexual harassment in environments such as public spaces, homes, and schools, where the victims, mostly female, are frequently assaulted by individuals known to them, such as family members or close friends. Preliminary results emphasize the urgent need for concrete measures, such as awareness policies, education, and protection for victims, including the use of technologies like specific applications. However, a collaborative effort between the government, educational institutions, and civil society is essential to promote safer and more inclusive environments for women in Brazil.
