At the national legal-political level, there is a clear doctrinal agreement that Operation Lava Jato (Car Wash), recently started and still in full progress, represents a historic mark in the fight against corruption. The ample use of award-winning collaboration, the use of new investigative procedural and preprocedural techniques, the debate about the overcoming of the classic and limited theory of proof, the changing exegesis of oncetight legal concepts, such as ‘corruption’, all these factors had their definitions rediscussed within the scope of the Lava Jato. In this context, the present article has addressed such points, in the interdisciplinary sphere, as well as dealt with the main controversial points of the theme, establishing, at the end, a brief conclusion about the relevant matter, in order to examine the new post-Lava Jato perspectives, always in harmony with constitutional principles and safeguards.
